•  Yoga Sutra 1.31:  Sorrow, despair, nervousness, and irregular breathing are the symptoms that accompany the distracted state of mind.

Even in a river, water rushes and struggles around rocks and obstacles in its way.  Why should our minds be any different?

By simply becoming aware of the symptoms of distraction (the rocks in the river of our mind), we begin to address them, one by one, and move closer to our goal of a calm and stable presence.

Where do you go to let your mind and body rest?  Is it somewhere outside?  Maybe it's the yoga studio, or sitting in quiet with a loved one.  Share your thoughts with us on our social media. Links to our sites down below.
