In a world of over-stimulation, over-production, and over-acceleration, the need to rest and replenish often goes unnoticed. We find ourselves accelerating through life so fast that our bodies and minds feel disjointed and we disconnect with the world around us.
Resting is an essential part of life. Practicing rest cultivates a compassionate attitude and an observant, non-judgmental mind, both of which foster re-connection and resilience. This restorative yoga-based practice is specially designed to provide space for you to rest, replenish yourself, and be resilient.
This all-level practice centers around a theme of intention and includes reflection time through journaling or meditation, gentle yoga and stretching to invite embodiment, and restorative yoga for deep rest and relaxation. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Each participant will receive a Rest Kit to be used during the practice.
Nirel sees the world and her yoga practice through the mind of a scientist: She is constantly experimenting, observing, learning, and developing. Her classes also echo a spirit of discovery and learning through mindfulness in movement (or lack of movement). Nirel believes that this exploratory process better acquaints us with ourselves, reveals what we truly need, and in turn, empowers us to live the life we want to live.
This unique workshop will bring you the expertise of Misty guiding you through a series of yin yoga poses (long held stretches). Each pose is designed to open and prepare your body for the sound experience brought to you by Matt creating sound with bowls, gongs, chimes and other instruments that utilize tonal frequencies to bring the body into a state of vibrational balance and harmony.
All levels of experience are welcome. Please wear clothing for stretching and relaxing. Props will be provided.

Misty has been practicing yoga for more than 30 years and a teacher for over 7 years.
Matt has trained with multiple master sound practitioners and gong masters over the last five years and is also a yoga teacher.
